Question about Japanese salad dressing.?

Does anyone know what the salad dressing they use at most japanese restuarants is? I think it's ginger dressing but I'm not sure. It's kinda orangey and has a bitter, tangy taste. Benihana uses it on their salads, for example.

Why do Brits here get so riled up when someone refers to BP as British Petroleum?

I don't get it. One would think that when someone refers to BP as British Petroleum, the Brits here take it as an attack on their national pride. Are the Brits ashamed of BP? Just because British Petroleum changed the name of the company to BP does not make it any less a British company, no more than Kentucky Fried Chicken changing its name to KFC makes it any less a "fried" chicken company. Or is it that the Brits here have an axe to grind with BP? Are the Brits here upset because British Petroleum changed its name to BP in order to change its image from a "British" company to a multi-national company? Is that it? Is it that the Brits here feel that the name change is a betrayal of the British national pride? I just don't get it why the Brits here get so riled up when someone refers to BP as British Petroleum. BP is a multi-national company but, after all, its world headquarters is still in London and that still makes it a "British" company. That is at least for now. The plunge in the BP stock price makes it takeover bait! BP could be acquired by one of the big American oil companies. Now wouldn't that be a kick in the British backside?

How long can I politely stay at a coffee shop once I've ordered something?

My thoughts are if the shop gets busy then I will order something else so that they are not losing out on business, but if it isn't then I would sit there as long as I wanted. I would also say something to the management about how long is it okay to stay with out causing a problem. Some places don't care, because that is why people come there to begin with.

NEISD Problem w/ volunteering to be in PTA and other volunteer opportunities. HELP ME ON THIS PLEASE-?

I want to be a volunteer at my son's school for the PTA. The PTA is in charge of all the different volunteer opportunities available at the school and requires all applicants to get a DPS clearance number on-line. I was arrested on a criminal charge in October 2007 and am contesting that arrest. I have not been to trial yet for this charge and have not been found guilty. I was denied clearance on-line from the DPS. I thought that a person was innocent until proven guilty and since I have not been found guilty, why would DPS have any record of my arrest? What records or information on individuals does DPS have access to? Is there a web site that we can go to that identifies what information that DPS has?

Lemon Balm is the only one of those that is truly a calming herb (as in it can help calm you or help you sleep), but none of them are stimulants (as in being enough to keep you up at night). Some may have "cool" or "hot" properties according to certain herbal traditions, but they don't have significant enough properties to be stimulants or depressants. For example, Feverfew helps to calm down sensitivities in the brain so it's commonly used for headaches or migraines, but it's not a "depressant" or a relaxant that would help someone sleep or relax. Columbian red and blue tetra tank mates?

I recently got 6 columbian red and blue tetras. I have looked online for info on their behavior and found a variety of answers. I put them in with 6 black skirt tetras, 6 serpae tetras, and @ 10 platies and swordtails. Is this a good combination? They do have plenty of room ( 100 gallon tank) and seem to be doing just fine. Well, I liked this girl for three years now. We are good friends but are not close friends. It's very clear she likes me as a friend but I am 99% certain she doesn't think of me as more than a friend, and she is currently in a relationship. My husband and i have been together for four years. I love him but i also hate him (sadly). He's a liar flat out and has indulged in numerous extramarital affairs. So im now officially scared shitless to take this medication after just seeing a video of Tardive diskinesia, my pharmacist ****** up and gave me 5mg pills instead of 2mg and ive been taking them no problem but after seeing that video im very worried. I didnt think anything of the higher dose because i thought these pills were relativly harmless but now i think way diffrently. I have a female cat 2 years old, and a male cat 6 months. 39 weeks pregnant and already 1cm Dilated, How to speed up labor?

Today I am 39 weeks pregnant now. Yesterday my doctor told me that the baby has dropped and can easily feel her head when she was checking my cervix and that I am 1 cm. She said that my cervix has thinned out 50%. What I want to know if there is a way to speed up the process to getting my labor going. I know three sis , my husband is gone to the army. And and i've been doing a whole lot of walking and drinking the raspberry tea all together. I usually do and hr of walking and drink the raspberry tea 2-3 times a day. So far, all i've been feeling is uncomfortable belly tightening and a whole lot of pressure in my pelvic area. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? I'm impatiences for theses last 7 days left..aargh!!

ive got a 140 amp powermaster alternator that i purchased a couple years ago, well ive got a Alpine MRP-M500 amp or a 500 watt amp, 2 12" alpine subs, a 4 channal eclipse amp that puts out about 75 watts per channal which is about 300 watts rms and the total amp draw is about 60 amps and 45-50ish amps for the alpine amp, well im thinking of getting 2 12" Alpine type R subs and a Alpine MRP-M1000 amp that puts out about 1,000 watts RMS and i was wondering if i should upgrade to maybe a 200 amp alternator...i got the money and ive been thinking of doing it anyway couse the alternator i got was kinda a cheapie since i payed only about $200ish for it.

Yes, The State cops were at my house tonight for questioning over a crime of theft that was commnited up in the U.P of michigan. Kitten all of a sudden acting strange?

I rescued a kitten. He is about 6 weeks old and litter trained. All of a sudden he peed on my bed while I was sleeping in it. So I took my sheets and washed them. I was home all day yesterday and used the litter box just fine without me helpin him and he was on my bed yesterday. I woke up today and he peed on my bed when I was sleeping again. Someone said he could be marking his territory but vet said he was too young and it is only when I am sleeping and he sleeps with me. I have clothes sitting on my floor but those are completely untouched. I have had cats all my life and never had one do this, all the other ones would have went for the clothes on the floor. My son has a wife who hates her mother, she is a very dominant woman and my son is the primary caretaker, homemaker and breadwinner in their marriage, His wife treats my son as if he's a complete imbecile and an idiot, she's been trying to get life insurance on him but because he told a doctor he'd thought about suicide previously she's mad at him for screwing that up. Its simply the temp they probably dying because they are not getting enough body heat. Leopard geckos are desert reptiles and need to be in a 90-95 degree F during the day and a 70-80 degree F at night if the temp drops below zero degrees C that is way to cold! I think its the temp because everything youve been doing so far sounds right just the temp doesnt. If that doesnt help you need to take them to a vet ASAP because it could be a disease like impaction or parasitic.

Hi there, I'm not really having any issues but I'm worried my baby is not getting enough so I was told to buy fenugreek so I went and bought it but the lady ay the store told me to get blessed thistle as well because they go hand In hand, so I bought it BUT it says as well as for lactating mothers its especially for increasing ur appetite. I'm already over weight after just having my son the only reason I would need to increase my appetite is just to remind me to eat because I forget to sometimes or get busy with my baby or my other two sons otherwise I don't need to gain weight or increase my appetite... so I guess the question is do I really need blessed thistle as well as fenugreek? Oh, yes. My husband insisted on naming our oldest daughter Kerrigan. Kerrigan??!!! Where did he come up with that?! I just flat out refused to name her that. I wouldn't even compromise! I've had hypothyroidism since I was about 4 years old. Never been to a endocrinologist. (I'm only turning 21) I lost my daughter back on May 29th due to premature labor (my ob only checked thyroid once in 19 weeks 3 days at beginning). I've been having pregnancy symptoms again but blood test showed up negative and I got my thyroid checked again and my doctor had to drop my medicine from 150mcg to 137 mcg to 100 mcg (starting 100 mcg tomorrow) in a month and 9 days time.. he says that's a big drop so he thinks something might be wrong with my pituitary gland so he referred me to a endocrinologist. My appointment isn't until October 18th though. I've been having all the normal symptoms of thyroid problems/pregnancy (even though i'm not pregnant) and i've been getting sharp pains randomly in the side of my head past few weeks. I'm stressing like crazy. Has anyone else went through this and everything turned out to be okay?

Okay, so I'm not the biggest dude (like 5'8 and 140 pounds) and I usually don't get into fights. That being said, sometimes I punch so fast that people can't even see it and on occasion my fist is so quick that it bursts into flames, giving me an extra edge. However, this doesn't happen very often, so that won't help me all the time. If a dude pulls a knife on me, I've usually got my lightsaber handy, but I'm not very strong with the Force. If a gun is pulled on me, I'm pretty good at gun kata (reached second level), and my years of training at a Shaolin Monastery have helped me a bit with my technique. I know, though, that I shouldn't underestimate any adversary. Do you have any other tips that'll help me?

For me things being elegant or cly has nothing to do with money. Someone can be rich and be into flashing their wealth around with sparkly and gaudy things (tacky), while someone can have nothing financially yet be conservative and tasteful in the things they like (not tacky). It has nothing to do with money. To me it's more about not being flashy or as they would say now: "bling-bling"-y. I just think conservative things (not more expensive things or less expensive things) are nicer but everyone is entitled to their opinion and to express it. If people don't like that word so much then at the risk of sounding "tacky" I suggest you specify for people to give their answers without using the word "tacky".

She was using their bathroom on the 2nd floor even though she has her own one on the 1st floor of our house. Can my landlord charge damages for more than a property is valued?

My son and his friend broke a few windows in a fallen down house next door that has not been on the tax essment 11 years because the house is valued at zero. I have pictures from the tax essment that shows broken windows in 2000, I believe all the windows were broken before we moved in. My son and his friend were wrong but I feel that the windows were broken anyway so I should not have to pay the damages of $1600 that the landlord is trying to keep. This happened about a year ago and I have offered to pay for two of the windows because my son and his friend did not break more than that and I don't believe that there were any unbroken windows when we moved in. The landlord had failed to give me an estimate for the costs until I was almost due to move out. My security deposit was $750 and I also paid for the last months rent also $750. I receive help from Section 8 and work for a school and therefore have little income in the summer. Section 8 also paid all but $28 of my last months rent as well as $438 for July rent that I had already paid to the landlord. Therefore the landlord has been over paid in the amount of $1130 and has my security deposit as well. The landlord has refused to return theseover paymentss to me as Section 8 has asked of him and says that he is keeping it for the damages to the windows. He procured two estimates in the $1600 range, the estimates are for 3/8 inch gl, like in cars. He has fixed a few of the windows with peg board and plexigl and probably wont go through with the work that he has shown on the estimates. I took him to small claims court and my case was dismissed on account of the windows. I don't think he can charge me more for damages than the property is worth and I am appealing the decision. The building is rotting and falling into the ground, you can poke a hole through the outer walls with a stick like a rotted pumpkin. I don't believe that any contractor will go into this house to fix the windows due to the danger it would be to themselves. The house has no electricity and had two light fixtures when it was livable because of the age of this house, therefore if he did talk some fool into going in there would be no power supply for them to use their tools. Can he charge more than the value if the property for damages?

Literally, I cry. I even cried in front of people in lunch time. I hate who I am. My high school is all based on cles and I'm the "other". I used to lie over stupid things cause I figured it was better than hurting my husbands feelings but without trust a marriage or relationship can not work. This is something that you need to talk to him about calmly and since it seems like you have done that before I would suggest he go to counseling for help with his lying. sometimes it just flies out and is not even intentional it takes a lot to get over something like this especially if you grow up doing it. But it can be done and he needs to make the decision to change that. If you love him I wouldn't give up on him yet and try not to make a big deal over the small stuff it makes it easier for a person to stop lying also.

Divorce and step-parents?

My husband and I are going through a rough time right now, we always argue about the same 2 things. One of those is my step daughter. She is in her mid 20's and I have issues with her coming to our house. She never pre arranges or asks if it's ok to come just sends a text message saying she will be here in an hr. She then is here and it's tense as I don't like her and can find no endearing qualities. Up until this week end I got on really well with my step son.
