Is there a term for this kind of fallacy?

Not sure how to word this, but believing something unexplained is evidence for a position. For example a person looking for bigfoot finds some strange hair he cannot identify and concludes it must be bigfoot hair. Or someone visiting Roswell finding a strange piece of metal and concluding it is of alien origin.
