Im going to a private school? What is it like? GOOD ANSWERS?

I play basketball for an AAU team and i got a scholarship to go to a top private school thats really good in sports and academics. Im really good at basketball i have the potential to play college ball, but i need to practice a lot. How are private schools? Are they hard? How do you get good?How can i maintain good grades, basketball and every once and a while hanging out with some friends? How much homework will i have? how long will i have to practice basketball after school and get my homework done and get 8 hours of sleep? Im really nervous so if you guys would answer these questions i will be so grateful! THANKS!!!
